2. Can multiple family members make a donation to Jeremy Miller?

  • Each person who makes a donation will be treated as an individual donor (even if part of a family).

3. Are there any age limits on who may donate?

  • No, there are not.

4. Can the directors/shareholders of a company donate to Jeremy Miller even if the company has also made a donation?

  • Each of the directors, shareholders and the company will be treated as individual donors.

  • There are no caps on political donations under current Commonwealth electoral laws. If the one donor makes a donation or multiple donations to Jeremy Miller which total more than $16,900 in FY2024/2025 then the name of that donor will be disclosable by Jeremy Miller in any donation disclosure returns to the AEC.
  • Any donor who donates more than $16,900 in FY2024/2025 will need to lodge a donor disclosure following the election. We will notify you about that when the time comes.  The form is simple but we can help as needed.

7. How will the donation be used?

  • Donations will be used at the discretion of the campaign, in order to run the best possible campaign.

8. Are donations tax deductible?

  • Unfortunately, not until Jeremy Miller is officially declared to be a candidate by the AEC, which won’t occur until around 30 days before the election.  You can only claim a tax deduction of up to $1,500 in a financial year for all donations made to any candidates.
