Local voters forgotten as major parties ignore Lyne yet again

The electorate of Lyne has been overlooked, receiving none of the vital new health services announced in the $644 million package to open 50 new Medical Urgent Care Clinics.

Labor has announced a $644 million package to open 50 new Medicare Urgent Care Clinics, including 14 in New South Wales. Yet once again, the electorate of Lyne has been overlooked, receiving none of these vital new health services.

Community Independent for Lyne Jeremy Miller says this is simply not good enough. "Local voters have been forgotten by both major parties yet again," said Mr. Miller. "If we don't stand up together and make our voices heard, the major parties will just keep ignoring us."

The new clinics are designed to ease pressure on hospital emergency departments by providing bulk-billed urgent care. However, despite the clear need in our region, Labor has no plan to deliver a single new clinic in Lyne.

"This shows once again that only a community-backed independent can truly represent our community and our needs," Mr. Miller said. "The major parties are controlled by head office, I wonder if they even know we exist."

Mr. Miller reaffirmed his commitment to fighting for improved healthcare services in Lyne, calling on voters to demand better from Canberra.

"We need real representation that puts the needs of our community first. As your independent voice, I will fight to make sure we get our fair share."

Jeremy Miller is the Community Independent for Lyne. He was chosen by community members across the Lyne electorate in response to a twelve month listening campaign aimed at prioritising the local needs of the Lyne electorate.
